Privacy Policy
Effective: June 2026
This is the same policy shown inside the app, under About → Privacy Policy. It applies to the iOS app, the Android app, and this website.
Data we collect
Nuclear Toolkit sends anonymous usage events to PostHog (posthog.com) to help us understand which features are most useful. Each event includes:
- Which screen or tab you visit, and time spent
- Nuclides you open (element symbol, mass number, and primary decay mode)
- Calculator and tool interactions
- Your IP address (logged automatically by PostHog)
- Device type, operating system, and app version
What we do not collect
- Your name, email address, or any account details
- Values you type into calculators or converters
- Precise location (PostHog may infer an approximate country from your IP)
Purpose
Usage data is used only to prioritise features and fix usability issues. It is not sold, shared with advertisers, or used for any other purpose.
Data processor
PostHog, Inc. processes event data on servers in the United States. See posthog.com/privacy for PostHog's own privacy policy.
Opt-out
There is no in-app opt-out. To prevent event collection, block
us.i.posthog.com at the network or firewall level. The app functions
fully without analytics connectivity.
In a browser, any content blocker or tracker-blocking extension that blocks that host has the same effect, and every calculator continues to work — all reference data is bundled into the page, not fetched.
Accounts and payments
Nuclear Toolkit has no accounts, no sign-in, and no login of any kind, so there is no account to delete and no credential for us to store. The current release contains no purchase or subscription flow, and we never see payment details.
Children
The app is a professional and educational reference tool. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect any data from children.
