This is the same text shown inside the app, under About → Terms of Service. It applies to the iOS app, the Android app, and this website.

Not for operational or safety-critical use. Nuclear Toolkit is an educational and reference tool. It is not certified, calibrated, or approved for operational, safety-critical, or regulatory compliance use, and it is not a medical device.

1Acceptance of terms

By using Nuclear Toolkit ("the App"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

2Educational purpose

The App is an educational and reference tool for nuclear engineering and health physics concepts. It is not certified, calibrated, or approved for operational, safety-critical, or regulatory compliance use. You assume full responsibility for any decisions made using information from the App.

3No warranty

The App is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind, express or implied. While nuclear data is sourced from reputable databases (IAEA, NIST, PubChem), we make no guarantee of accuracy, completeness, or fitness for any particular purpose. Computational results may differ from real-world measurements due to simplifying assumptions stated on each screen.

4Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the developer(s) of Nuclear Toolkit shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages arising from use of or inability to use the App, including but not limited to damages resulting from incorrect calculations, data errors, or misinterpretation of results.

5Professional judgment

Calculations provided by the App are not a substitute for professional engineering analysis. Any operational decisions involving radiation safety, nuclear material handling, reactor operations, or waste management must be reviewed by a qualified health physicist or nuclear engineer. Users working with radioactive materials must follow applicable regulations, license conditions, and institutional procedures.

6Intellectual property

The App and its original content (code, design, and arrangement) are protected by copyright. Nuclear data from IAEA, NIST, and PubChem is used in accordance with each source's terms of use and is attributed on the relevant screens. Third-party trademarks and data are the property of their respective owners.

7Changes to terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Updated terms will be made available through the App. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
